DESCRIPTION:The theme of the event is “Sixty years later\, has Dr. King’s dream been realized?”.Sixty years later\, has Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr’s dream been realized? We will award over $1700 in scholarships for area high school scholars. We will also hear directly from the award recipients during the program. \nThe past Regional Vice President\, Kelsey L. Rushing\, Esq\, is the speaker for the event. Kelsey L. Rushing\, a native of Carthage\, Mississippi\, is a 1999 graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Prior to earning the law degree\, he received his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. While at the University of Southern Mississippi\, Brother Rushing was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity\, Inc.\, via the Mu Xi Chapter\, in the Spring of 1992. In his almost 30 years as an active member\, Bro. Rushing\, a Life member\, has served the Fraternity on all levels. \nEventbrite
